The format is a choice. It guarantees that the person you meet is the person working on your file, and it allows the exact competence a project needs to be assembled each time, rather than selling whatever hours a structure happens to have available.

Our legitimacy comes from inside the institutions. Seven years as an administrator at the European Parliament change how you prepare a note and how you choose the moment to intervene. Those years were also spent on the other side of the table: on evaluation committees for EU tenders and grants, and then as an evaluator for the European Commission. You do not write a proposal the same way once you have scored other people’s.

Our footing in the cyber and defence sector rests not on an address but on a mandate: Europe ambassador for the Pôle d’Excellence Cyber, which puts us in contact with the manufacturers, public agencies and laboratories on which the European files we carry depend.

Meet us

Today

A deliberate refocus.

Altamira Publics was founded in late 2020. Its work now concentrates on cybersecurity, defence and infrastructure resilience — where both the Commission’s priorities and the European budgets have moved.

This is not new ground: it is the ecosystem we already work in, notably through the Pôle d’Excellence Cyber.

Where the name comes from

Altamira.

Altamira is the cave where humanity painted its first stories. Bison in ochre and iron oxide, some twenty thousand years ago, on a wall chosen so that they would be seen.

Twenty thousand years on, the essential work has not changed: making an idea visible and lasting for those who decide. The means differ, and so do the pigments. The gesture is the same.

The network

What we bring in beyond the firm.

Depending on the assignment, we bring in competences we have no intention of internalising. The names of those involved are given in our proposals, never before they have agreed.
